TopicDNA allows you to adjust your budget across two or more campaigns, shifting ad spend to the campaigns that our Performance Budget Optimization (PBO) algorithm predicts will perform better in the future. This greatly increases the performance of your campaigns.

Step 1. You'll need to connect your Facebook Ads Account if you haven't already done so.

Step 2. Once your Ads Account is connected, press the 'Create' button to start the process of creating your Campaign Pools. You can also watch a video on how to create them as well.

Step 3. You'll be brought to the Campaign Pool creation modal where you will need to choose at least two active campaigns with the same objective for the Pool. When you select the first campaign, any other campaigns that are from a different ad account or has a different objective will be greyed out to prevent any errors during the creation phase. You can also use the search bar to look for specific campaigns.

Step 4. Give your Campaign Pool a name.

Step 5. Now choose a metric that you would like our PBO algorithm to optimize on. You can also choose this metric when you create the campaign in Facebook Ads Manager, so we will show that default metric in TopicDNA. However, you can also choose to change the optimization metric if you want. For example, for a campaign with the objective of App Installs, the optimization metric is usually App Installs. However, there are cases where you might want to choose Purchases as the optimization metric. TopicDNA allows you to do this.

Step 6. Once the Campaign Pool is created, it will appear in the appropriate section. You can see what actions you need to take and the current results of the Pool. When you are ready to adjust the budget, press the 'Optimize' button and you will first see a preview of what the budget adjustment will be.

Step 7. The recommended budget adjustments are based on the calculations of both the 'Results' and 'Cost per Result' over the past 7 days. To apply the changes, press the 'Apply Optimization' button.

Step 8. Once the changes are applied, you'll be shown a confirmation screen to let you know that TopicDNA has changed the budget for you in Facebook Ads Manager.

Step 9. You'll see the adjustments take effect as the status has changed to "optimized". We suggest optimizing your Campaign Pools once a day.

And that's it! You're now on your way to maximizing the performance of your Facebook ad campaigns!
